Jonathan’s Impact has partnered with both Hands of Hope in San Jose, CA and Global Life Foundation of Harare, Zimbabwe to found and support The Chilleleko Children’s Home, a home in Harare, Zimbabwe for 12 orphan children.
The philosophy of Hands of Hope is to create a home environment for the children, with house parents living at the home and a limit on the number of children that are received into the home.
In August 2011, Hands of Hope purchased Chileleko, with the agreement that Global Life Foundation, headed by Rev. Peter Mabasa in Harare, would oversee the running of the home and gardens.
The Director of the home is Lucia Dandahuni of Global Life Foundation. Since the home’s inception in 2011, the home has filled to capacity with 12 children.
Jonathan’s Impact is responsible for supplying the majority of the monthly budget for Chileleko. Some assistance with the financing of the monthly budget is supplied by contributors from Global Life Foundation in Zimbabwe and revenue from the gardens, green house, and chicken farm at Chileleko.
A child sponsorship program has been created in January 2014, with the goal of providing consistent financial resources for the children in the home. If you would like to sponsor a child, please refer to the child sponsorship section on the website. If you would like more information about sponsorship or financial support, please contact us via phone or email.
