Who We Are

OUR MISSION

Jonathan’s Impact’s mission is to represent Jesus Christ in our provision for the ongoing spiritual, physical, emotional, and educational needs of the orphans in Zimbabwe, Africa.  We seek leadership and direction from the Holy Spirit and input from our ministry partners on the field in Zimbabwe in our mission endeavors.

OUR VISION

To communicate the love of Jesus Christ to African orphans through provision for their physical, spiritual, and emotional needs, continuing the vision of Jonathan DiLeo to care for the orphans of Africa.

FOUNDERS

Stephen and Cassy DiLeo are the founders of Jonathan’s Impact Orphan Ministries. Stephen earned a Master of Business Administration degree in 1988 from the University of New Orleans. He has worked as a clinical research consultant for the last 26 years. Cassy obtained a Masters in Marital and Family Counseling from the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary in 2001 and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree in 1989.  She presently works as a Clinical Research Coordinator in Covington, LA.  Steve and Cassy are evangelical Christians and attend Covenant Church of Covington, LA. Steve and Cassy have been gratefully married for 32 years and are the proud parents/stepparents of Kathryn DiLeo Copple, Michael DiLeo, the late Jonathan DiLeo and grandparents to Caroline Copple.

BOARD MEMBERS

Joining Steve and Cassy as founding board members of Jonathan’s Impact are Gregory and Kerry Adams. Greg has been employed by Smart Care Equipment Solutions for 12 years; he is a Regional Dispatch Director for the New Orleans & Jackson market area. He has also served honorably in the U.S. Army. He has a farm in Rio, LA where he, his wife, and four children live. Greg has served in Christian ministry for the past 15 years as a youth minister, church elder, and children’s teacher.L Kerry works as a second grade teacher at Lakeside Christian Academy. Greg & Kerry have four children: Mason, Annabelle, Ashlyn, and Kaleigh. Greg has visited the orphans in Africa on two separate occasions.

Also joining Jonathan’s Impact in 2014 are Emilio and Sara Russo. Emilio is a husband to his beautiful wife Sara and father of four beautiful children: Giovanni, Mia, Liliana, and Luca.   He works as a physician at Our Lady of the Angels hospital in Bogalusa, LA, where he serves as Program Director of the LSU Rural Family Medicine Residency and Chief of Staff for the hospital. Sara has a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. With the birth of their first child, she left her nursing career for the adventure of being a stay-at-home mom. She is also actively involved in children’s ministry in their local church community. Emilio and Sara have had recurring experiences in various foreign and local mission endeavors and are excited about the opportunity to partner with Jonathan’s Impact.

We welcome Jim Thomas to the board of Jonathan’s Impact. Jim Thomas is founder and president of Thomas Pump in Slidell, LA. Thomas Pump manufacturers a high pressure Pitot Tube pump used in all industries but their primary market is food processing sanitation. They also manufacture 3 other types of pumps. Jim is active in several non-profits including an orphanage in St. Petersburg Russia, and has been the International Director of the Prison Ministry of Ghana for 25+ years. Jim is Semi-retired as his son James has taken over the business and their 50+ employees know that the company exists to support the non-profits that they desiginate.

Our primary ministry partners are Hands of Hope in San Jose, CA, (http://www.hohafrica.org/) led by Rev. Glen Miller, and Global Life Foundation,  a Christian ministry founded by Rev. Peter Mabasa in Zimbabwe, Africa.
